CLUB STATEMENT: Alhagie Jobe still a Real de Banjul player

                                                                                                                                                               30th October 2014

Alhagie Modou Jobe still a Real de Banjul playerReal de Banjul Football Club has become aware of speculative coverage in today’s Point Newspaper concerning the immediate future of goalkeeper Alhagie Modou Jobe.

An article written on The Point newspaper today (Thursday 30th October) that Senegalese club ASC Niarry Tally have signed keeper Modou Jobe is false and damaging to the Club.

We would like to confirm that Jobe is still a player of Real de Banjul and shall remain so until otherwise.

It is true that we are currently in negotiations with Niarry Tally for his release but a deal is far from being completed.

The Club would be revealing arrival and departure of players through our website for the benefit of our fans and well-wishers.

We would like to advice our friends in the media to contact the Club first before reporting on anything that’s not correct.

Our mutual and cordial relationship with the media still remains the same.

The Club won’t make any further comment on this issue.

Thanks.

William Abraham,

Club President
