Real de Banjul trio joins Génération Foot

Real de Banjul Football Club is delighted to confirm the transfers of Cherno Jobe, Bubacarr Sonko and Alieu Jallow to Senegalese partner club Génération Foot.

The trio has since joined the Senegalese champions as they prepare for the upcoming season and CAF Champions League campaign.

Cherno Jobe and Bubacarr Sonko are central midfielders with an eye for goal while Alieu Jallow is an exciting wide player who combines skill and trickery plus a superb right foot.

Speaking to www.realdebanjul.gm from Dakar, Cherno Jobe was full of praise for the club management "This is a dream come true for me. I have accomplished one of my set targets which are to play in a professional league and thanks to the Real de Banjul management I have realized that".

"Génération Foot is a big club in Senegal because they have produced some of Africa's most consistent performers in Liverpool's Sadio Mane and Ismaila Sarr of Rennes and I want to follow in their footsteps". Jobe added.

Bubacarr Sonko who has first team experience with Real de Banjul before joining the 2016/17 Senegalese champions is a man on a mission.

"I want to play in the top leagues in Europe and Génération Foot has to potential to make that possible. Since we first came here for trials they (coaches and management) were impressed and wanted us to stay and sign contracts".

Club President William Abraham congratulated the trio on their moves while challenging them to better the records set by Ablie Jallow and Bun Sanneh at the club.

"I am delighted to see the trio signed for Génération Foot because their playing style resembles that of the team. They have a bright future ahead of them and I have challenged them to do even better than Ablie and Bun".

“We have a great partnership with Generation Foot as Real de Banjul has the “exclusive” rights to take any Gambian player to Generation Foot.”  Said Willie.

Everyone at Real de Banjul wishes the trio the very best with their new club Génération Foot.
