Yankuba Jarju completes Generation Foot move

Real de Banjul Football Club is delighted to announce the transfer of star striker Yankuba Jarju to Senegalese top-tier side Generation Foot.

The lanky forward was Real de Banjul's leading marksman last season with 16 goals which excited the Generation Foot coaches to tie him on a two-year contract.

Yankuba Jarju combines pace and great scoring credentials which is rare for a player of his type and is a perfect match for Generation Foot who will attempt to defend the Senegalese league title they won last season.

Torres as he is referred by his old teammates will lead his new team's attack this evening when they face Cup winners Stade de Mbour in the curtain raiser (Super Cup) in Dakar and has told www.realdebanjul.gm that he is ready to introduce himself in the Senegalese Professional League.

"I'm excited to have signed for Generation Foot who have a brilliant relationship with Real de Banjul. This is a new chapter in my young career and I am looking forward to scoring more goals here for my new team". Jarju said.

"I have been named in the starting eleven to play in the Super Cup against Mbour and hopefully I will help the team to win and have a good start as we look to defend the league and make the CAF Champions League group stage". He added.

Club President William Abraham was full of praise for Jarju whom he described as an honest person.

"Yankuba is a good boy and a very honest person. I am really happy for him and I have no doubts that he will make it with Generation Foot and move on to play in Europe".

"Our relationship with Generation Foot is no secret and we're working on achieving greater things together. Yankuba is not the first player to sign for them from Real de Banjul so he will integrate well with their players and we wish him well". Said Willie.

Yankuba is the sixth Real de Banjul player to join Generation Foot after Ablie Jallow (now with FC Metz) and Bun Sanneh signed two years ago and most recently Cherno Jobe, Alieu Jallow and Bubacarr Sonko.

Everyone at Real de Banjul would like to wish Yankuba Jarju all the best in the next chapter of his career with Generation Foot.
