Real opens league with win over city rivals

Real wins HawksReal de Banjul Football Club opened the defence of its title with a 1-0 victory over city rivals Hawks at the KG-5 Mini-Stadium in Banjul on Saturday.

The Club, which is preparing to campaign in the African Champions League this year featured new boys from Brikama United Adama Sabally and Modou Jallow alias Figo while former U17 starlet Yusupha Njie made his league debut.

Real de Banjul organizes gala and awards nightReal de Banjul Football Club is pleased to announce that it organised a gala and awards night where it awarded past and present players of the club in an event held at the Penchami Hall of the Paradise Suites Hotel in Kololi.

The gala dinner amongst other things was meant to raise funds for the Club that has existed over four decades in its quest to launch an assault of the 1.5 million dollar price in the 2013 CAF Champions League.

Real de Banjul loan Modou Jallow

Modou 'Figo' JallowReal de Banjul Football Club is delighted to announce that it has completed the signing of midfielder Modou Jallow on loan from Brikama United for one year.

Modou, born July 26 1995, becomes one of the club’s latest acquisition ahead of the 2013 GFA League season. The acquisition of the Brikama United vice captain is sure to wreck havoc on opponents back four.

Real de Banjul are Super Cup Champions

Real crowned championsReal de Banjul have been crowned GFA Super Cup champions after edging past FA champions Gamtel in a final played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

Buba Sanneh scored the lone goal of the game on 65 minutes with a connecting header from a corner kick to give the league champions another trophy before the start of the new GFA League season. The goal was the defender’s first for the club in three years.
