Niarry Tally crowned champions of Real @ 50

Niarry Tally win RDB CupSenegalese Premier League club ASC Niarry Tally are the winners of the Real @ 50 international football tournament after their 1-0 win over the zonal team of Sukuta on Sunday.

The brilliant header from Abdoulaye Sano in the first half made the difference in a very highly contested final with both teams playing some good football. But Niarry Tally, who had the presence of Gambian trio Gibril Sillah, Dawda Sambou and Ismaila Colley, dominated possession and almost doubled their lead in the second half but only for the fantastic double saves from the Sukuta goalkeeper Ebrima Cham denied El Hadj Ndiaye.

FC Nouadhibou presents gifts to Real

FC Nouadhibou presents to Real de BanjulMauritanian side FC Nouadhibou presented gifts from their club to Real de Banjul on Tuesday at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.


The gifts, which comprised of Nouadhibou club emblem, pennant, scarf and a cap, was presented to President William Abraham by the Mauritanian club’s Technical Director Samba Gaye.

Real @ 50: RDB beat Nouadhibou

RDB beat Nouadhibou Real de Banjul on Monday defeated the Mauritanian side FC Nouadhibou 2-0 in their second group stage game in the Real de Banjul @ 50 international football competition at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

Real, who played a goalless stalemate in their opening game with Olympique de Ngor, opened the scoring just 10 minutes after the break courtesy of substitute Pa Omar Jobe. The Gambia U-20 attacker made sure of the three points 10 minutes before the end to book the hosts a place in the knockout stages of the 12-team competition with four points.

Real knocked out of Real @ 50

Real knocked outReal de Banjul will not enjoy any final glory at the Real @ 50 international tournament after losing 4-3 to Serekunda East on penalty shootouts in the quarter-final on Wednesday evening.


The tame encounter between the two sides ended in a goalless draw in the normal time of play, giving way for the game to be decided from the penalty spot. Real started off well in the spot kicks, with defender Arona Jabang scoring their first kick.

Real de Banjul @ 50 Int’l Football Tourney Kicks off

The football tournament of Real @ 50, a celebration of Real de Banjul Football Club’s fifty years existence, got underway on Saturday with the hosts playing an entertaining goalless draw with Olympique de N'Gor in the fourth and final matches of the day at the Independence Stadium.

The celebration kicked off at 3pm with an academy football match between Real de Banjul Football Academy and Sanchaba Sulay Jobe Football Academy, with the former securing a 2-0 win.
